Rudolph the red nosed reindeer

                         Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.1964 One of the most beloved and iconic films from Rankin/Bass Productions.  I remember as a kid I would watch this every year as I know all of you would to. The one thing that I remember about it is Rudolph is a hero and saves Christmas and meets new friends. Robert L. May created Rudolph in 1939 as an assignment for Chicago based Montgomery Ward. They gave out 2.4 million copies of the Rudolph story. The movie aired on December 6, 1964. It has been telecast every year since 1964, making it the longest continuously running Christmas TV special in history. Now for me you can't have Christmas without Rudolph and his timeless story. I had to own it on DVD along with Santa Claus is coming to town,Frosty the snowman and Frosty returns, (I will talk about them in another post.) Rudolph was the first stop motion animation movie that I seen I was hooked, Now I love all stop motion animated movies an I can credit Robe
